It was a little piece of time, a tiny bite from a dream.
The characters were you and me with emotions played out only we could see.
It was a fragile place in space like a bubble that could burst.
If reality could win, our lives it would forever curse.
We filled our desire in secret to be known by no other.
The feelings so intense, so rich and so exhausting, like a mixed up shadow with no one to follow.
We could hear them calling out to us reminding us to wake up.
It's only while we are with them that our waking thoughts do sleep.
A meaning hard to find, but an easy place to be. No reasoning can make it true.
We found a place like heaven's sea to let our feelings show.
With no one there to laugh at them and no one there to curse.
Just you and me and our piece of time forever in our minds rehearsed.
